News - The latest about Diana’s engagements and recordings

Diana performances as Amina in the Metropolitan Opera’s La Sonnambula were a big success with audiences and critics alike. “Damrau is a marvel. Her voice, always crystal clear and delicate, is full of such joy that it spreads to all who hear her. She makes the most difficult passages sound effortless … her pianissimo notes, barely above a whisper, go straight to the heart. (Huffington Post)

Beginning later this month, Ms. Damrau reprises the role of Violetta Valéry in a trio of La traviata performances across Europe. Her dynamic portrayal of Verdi’s tragic courtesan has been heralded as “a daring victory” (New York Times) and a “singing/acting portrayal to rival the greatest in the world today.” (New York Post)
