Diana sings the role of Konstanze in Mozart’s sparkling Singspiel Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio) for the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden’s 2014 Gala concerts, in collaboration with Universal Music and Deutsche Grammophon.
Ms. Damrau is joined by world-class collaborators, including renowned tenor Rolando Villazón as Belmonte, Anna Prohaska as Blonde, Paul Schweinester as Pedrillo, Franz-Josef Selig will play Osmin, and Thomas Quasthoff is featured the narrating role of the Bassa Selim. Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

This is the second time Ms. Damrau will sing on a Mozart recording with Villazón and Nézet-Séguin on the D.G. label; the first was Don Giovanni, released in 2012 (available here).
