A new ‘Lucia’ next season at the Royal Opera House

Diana Damrau returns to London’s Royal Opera next season, in the title role of Donizetti’s electrifying tragedy Lucia di Lammermoor. This new staging, directed by Katie Mitchell and designed by Vicki Mortimer, is a co-production with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Greek National Opera. It will be a highlight of the company’s upcoming season, receiving a live broadcast into cinemas worldwide on April 25.
Performances take place April 7, 11, 14, 16, 19, 22 & 25, and feature a spectacular cast, including Charles Castronovo as Edgardo and Ludovic Tézier as Enrico, with Daniel Oren leading the Royal Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
