‘I puritani’ at Teatro Real

Diana Damrau sings the role of Lady Elvira Valton in Bellini’s final opera, I puritani, this summer at Madrid’s Teatro Real. Performances take place July 4, 7, 14, 17, 20 & 24, with a spectacular international cast including Javier Camarena as Lord Arturo Talbo; Ludovic Tézier, Nicola Alaimo, and Damiano Salerno alternate as Sir Riccardo Forth; Annalisa Stroppa and Cassandre Berthon as Enrichetta di Francia; and Nicolas Testé sings Sir Giorgio. Evelino Pidò leads from the pit for this production, which features a new staging by Emilio Sagi.
