Diana Damrau will perform works by Richard Strauss at the Opernhaus Zürich on April 14. The centrepiece of the evening is the closing scene from Strauss’ Capriccio, in which whether the music or the text is more important is a question that gets asked, but not answered.
The program also features the tone poem “Macbeth”, the three glittering Lieder “Ständchen”, “Wiegenlied” and “Morgen!”, and four interludes from the opera Intermezzo. Gianandrea Noseda conducts the Philharmonia Zürich.

Diana Damrau reunites with her longtime collaborator, pianist Helmut Deutsch, to reprise their Lieder and Spanish songs program, featuring works by Robert and Clara Schumann, Richard Strauss, Joaquín Rodrigo, Enrique Granados, Joaquín Turina, and Fernando Obradors.
The performances that place at the Schlosstheater Fulda on February 2, Carnegie Hall on February 6, the BOZAR on February 10, and the Musikverein on February 14.

This Christmas season, Diana Damrau makes her debut as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, returning to the Bayerische Staatsoper from December 23 until January 10. The new production by Barrie Kosky affords the “operetta of all operettas” a new look and focuses on its morbid side.
Joining Ms Damrau will be Georg Nigl as Gabriel von Eisenstein, Katharina Konradi as Adele and Miriam Neumaier as Ida. Vladimir Jurowski conducts.

Diana Damrau’s new album sweeps us off to three capital cities of operetta – Vienna, Berlin, and Paris – in her next recording, made with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and conductor Ernst Theis. Operette will be released on December 8.

Diana Damrau starts her 2023/2024 season at the Festival der Nationen in Bad Wörishofen, where on September 30 she will reunite with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, conductor Pavel Baleff and Tareq Nazmi to sing a program showcasing Mozart and composers of the same era, taking the audience on a journey into the Classical period. They will reprise this program on October 8 at Bulgaria Hall, this time accompanied by the Sofia Philharmonic and Nicolas Testé.

After making her Festival de Peralada debut in 2015 with a recital at the Església del Carme, Diana Damrau returns to the same stage on July 29 with “Amor i vida”. Together with French bass Nicolas Testé and renowned pianist Helmut Deutsch, they will perform works by Duparc, Strauss, Gounod, Donizetti, Bellini and Léhar, among others, to offer an inspiring journey through opera, operetta, as well as Lieder and songs.
They will reprise this program at the Festival de Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche on August 4, with pianist Ramon Théobald.

Diana Damrau has once again been nominated for her exceptional achievements in the classical music genre in the Singer of the Year category of the Opus Klassik Awards for her most recent album, “My Christmas“.
The 2023 award winners will be selected by a nine-member jury and announced in autumn 2023. The award ceremony will take place the weekend of October 6 – 8 in Berlin.
