Diana Damrau’s highly anticipated DVD and Blu-ray release of her 2016 role debut as Contessa di Almaviva in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro follows the recent release of another two opera recordings: Lucia di Lammermoor from the Royal Opera House and I Puritani from Teatro Real de Madrid.
This latest addition to her vast recording collection commemorates the 225th anniversary of Mozart’s death. This Wake-Walker production counts with a star-studded cast, featuring Golda Schultz as Susanna, Markus Werba as Figaro, Carlos Álvarez as Conte di Almaviva and Marianne Crebassa as Cherubino. Franz Welser-Möst conducts.
