News - The latest about Diana’s engagements and recordings

This April, Diana Damrau makes her highly anticipated debut as Maria Stuarda in Donizetti’s opera of the same name. Serena Farnocchia embodies her rival Elisabetta, Pavol Breslik sings Roberto, Earl of Leicester, and Nicolas Testé portrays Giorgio Talbot. Enrique Mazzola is on the podium.

Maria Stuarda opens April 8, with ten additional performances through May 12.

Diana Damrau has already made a name for herself in other operas by Donizetti and received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Her latest portrayal of Lucia di Lammermoor, one of her signature roles, had critics claim she’s “the great Lucia of the twenty-first century” (Seen and Heard International).
