News - The latest about Diana’s engagements and recordings

Update: These performances have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Diana Damrau starts the year making her greatly anticipated debut in Richard Strauss’ Capriccio, an opera revolving around debate that raged during the Enlightenment: what matters more, the music or the text? Who will succeed in winning the heart of the Countess Madeleine – Olivier, a poet, or Flamand, a musician?

Ms. Damrau is joined by a stellar cast, including Wolfgang Koch, Pavol Breslik, Audun Iversen, Günther Groissböck, Ekaterina Gubanova, Graham Clark, Sydney Mancasola, Xabier Anduaga and Luke Stoker. The performances, if no cancellations due to COVID-19 occur, will take place from January 26 until the February 21.
