European Culture Prize Gala

Diana Damrau will perform at this year’s Europäischen Kulturpreisgala on August 28 at the Bonn Opera House. Also on stage that evening will be trumpet player Till Brönner, the Scorpions, singer Katie Melua, actors Tobias Moretti, Hannes Jaenicke and Jan Josef Liefers, entrepreneur Nico Rosberg, actress, model and fair-fashion-ambassador Barbara Meier, as well as entrepreneur and Olympic champion in figure skating Katarina Witt. The event will be presented by the soprano Annette Dasch and culture journalist Axel Brüggemann.

Accompanied by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of Dirk Kaftan, Ms. Damrau will sing Franz Léhar’s „Hör ich Cymbalklänge“ from the operetta „Zigeunerliebe“.
