This summer, Diana Damrau will finally make her much anticipated debut as Countess Madeleine in Capriccio at the Prinzregententheater in Munich, after the original performances of her role debut were cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. As a world-renowned Strauss interpreter, Ms. Damrau’s Madeleine is sure to be unforgettable. The premiere is already sold out.

Joining her on stage will be Michael Nagy, Pavol Breslik, Vito Priante, Tanja Ariane Baumgartner, Kristinn Sigmundsson and Toby Spence. Lothar Koenigs conducts David Marton’s production for five performances on July 17, 20, 23, 25 and 27.

BR-KLASSIK will broadcast the premiere of “Capriccio” live on the radio on Sunday, 17 July from 19:00 CET/1pm ET.
