Diana Damrau has been awarded Opus Klassik‘s Singer of the Year for her Meyerbeer album!
The Opus Klassik, a new award for classical music, will be awarded for the first time at the Konzerthaus Berlin on Sunday, October 14. Ms. Damrau will perform alongside some of the other award winners, including Juan Diego Flórez, with whom she will star in a new production of La Traviata later this year at the Metropolitan Opera.
After the Echo Awards ended this spring, exceptional achievements in the classical music genre will once again be recognized this year. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on October 14 at 10 pm CET by the media partner ZDF.
