BELLcanto in Prague

Over the last few years, British composer Iain Bell has been writing song cycles and arias tailored to Diana Damrau and Petr Nekoranec. On November 8 they come together on the stage of the Smetana Hall to perform them in front of a live audience, accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic orchestra conducted by Rastislav Štúr. The program will also feature arias and duets by Donizetti and Bellini alongside arias from Iain Bell’s operas “A Harlot’s Progress”, “Jack the Ripper: The Women of Whitechapel” and “In Parenthesis”.
