Christmas in the Ore Mountains with Jonas Kaufmann

At 7:15 pm CET on Christmas Eve, Diana Damrau will be featured on ZDF with her colleague Jonas Kaufmann at St. Annenkirche in Annaberg-Buchholz, a magnificent backdrop for a festive Christmas concert. The colourful programme includes traditional Christmas carols, classical and baroque music, and jazz and pop sounds, and will be accompanied by the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue conducted by Jens Georg Bachmann.

Also featured are bass René Pape, British pianist Alexis Ffrench, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the Norwegian singer Rebekka Bakken and TikTok and Instagram star Sophie – and as musical representatives of the Ore Mountains, the “Frisch Glück” and the youth choir of the Evangelische SchulGemeinschaft Erzgebirge.
